Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within the Single Point Of Admission (SPOA) service. The SPOA service covers Ward F (Mental Health Assessment Ward); Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) and the new 111 service. Although the successful applicant will be based predominately within the CRHTT in Swansea; depending on service needs there will be an opportunity to gain experience in other parts of the OT SPOA service also.
Within this role, the successful candidate will provide occupationally focused assessments and interventions, all of which are underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO). The post holder will also be integral in the development and day to day running of the Crisis Recovery Unit (CRU) whereby both group and 1:1 occupationally focused and client centred interventions will be offered to individuals accessing the CRHTT. The CRU will be pivotal in supporting service users to improve independence, whilst developing and/ or learning new coping and practical skills.
The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, highly motivated with excellent communication skills and who can contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of the Adult Mental Health Occupational Therapy provision.We therefore are seeking a dynamic, flexible and motivated Occupational Therapist to join us in Swansea Bay University Health Board
Main duties of the job
