Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Unscheduled Care Mental Health Services. A ward manager's post is becoming available; the post is based on Ward F within Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Ward F is the single point of admission acute mental health ward. The ward provides assessment for up to 21 patients in a mixed-sex service.
As a potential post holder, you will have significant experience working within mental health services, with experience in management roles and possess leadership qualities. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the model of care, therefore will require knowledge and skills relevant to change management, mental health assessment, care and recovery of adults.
Main duties of the job
As the ward manager in the acute admissions ward for adult mental health, you will be expected to work autonomously with the ward-based clinical leads. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, they will be confident and compassionate, ensuring they are always providing positive role modelling for all.
