Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Registered Nurses in Learning Disabilities to join the Cardiff Community Learning Disability Team.
The team are committed to meeting the health care needs of people with a learning disability. They work passionately to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes.
Nurses are an integral part of a close working multi-disciplinary team in the capital city.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will have an understanding of the knowledge and skills of the professional activities within a Community Support Team within the field of Learning Disabilities.
They will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, and will liaise with both Social & Healthcare professionals to meet client need.
Contribute to the development, maintenance and evaluation of systems and structures, which promote the rights, responsibilities and diversities of people with a learning disability, through effective communication.The post holders will promote the health and wellbeing of clients by providing specialist nursing assessment and advice and training to clients, carers and other professionals.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
