Job summary
This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to work with the award winning National Team in Lymphoedema Clinical Network Wales. They will lead on a range of service improvement projects and service development initiatives across Wales.
The post holder will promote innovation and best practice in bringing about service change in support of national priorities. The post holder will co-ordinate, develop and implement a range of projects designed to transform the delivery of Lymphoedema services in Wales. They will work closely with the Value-Based Programme Manager, Clinical Director Lymphoedema Wales as well as a team of national lymphoedema posts.
Working alongside the team the post holder will have responsibility for the production of project initiation documents, project plans, risk registers and other documentation and reports as required throughout the project lifecycle.
Lymphoedema Clinical Network Wales has a base in Cimla Hospital, and Swansea University. As a national post, you will be expected to travel to all Health Boards around Wales. The ability to speak Welsh and to have a driving license is desirable for this role.
Main duties of the job

Lymphoedema Clinical Network Wales is a national service with seven Health Board Lymphoedema Services and a national lymphoedema team. The services are seeking to transform how it delivers care for lymphoedema patients through Value-Based Healthcare in order to meet the needs of our population and raising prevalence data.
Transforming services will include creating exciting new service developments in preventing hospital admissions and treating people more effectively through self-management in the community. New projects will also include cellulitis management and a clinical educators programme for people on the community nursing caseloads. The projects will encompass service delivery improvements, partnership initiatives, commissioning projects, data collection including qualitative and quantitative improvements, measuring PROMS and PREMS across all the Health Board services and will include the third sector.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
About us
Swansea Bay University Health Board (formerly ABMU) was created on 1 April 2019, after responsibility for providing healthcare services in the Bridgend County Borough Council area passed from ABMU to the new Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Swansea Bay UHB covers a population of around 390,000 in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas and we have a budget of around £1bn. The Health Board employs approximately 12,500 staff. It has three major hospitals providing a range of services: Morriston and Singleton in Swansea, and Neath Port Talbot Hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot.

The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board and Swansea University. ARCH is a unique collaboration project aimed at improving the wellbeing and wealth of South West Wales.
