Job summary

The post holder will have an excellent opportunity to support the team on fendrod ward. the clinical lead will be expected to set high standards of care for our service users. They will need to demonstrate a passion to want to work in mental health services.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered Mental Health Nurse (clinical ) to join the team at Fendrod which is a 20 bed Treatment and Recovery Unit for Males aged between 18-65based at Cefn Coed Hospital, Swansea. Candidates should have experience at a Band 5/6 within the field of adult Mental Health.

We are looking for someone who has a drive and passion for Treatment focused care and can demonstrate effective leadership and change management skills.

To play a critical role within the fendrod management team, the post holder we be expected to maintain high standards of evidence based nursing care. This will be accomplished through completing regular audits of the nursing's paper work completed by the band 5 nurses on the ward, having regular supervisions with the Nursing team to ensure that high standards are maintained and to ensure that the team are supporting each other. The post holder will be expected to step up and take charge of the ward in the absence of the the ward manager during times of annual leave and short term sickness.
