Job summary
The post holder will support the Clinical Systems Manager in the implementation, documentation, maintenance, management and promotion of a range of clinical systems, ensuring a pro-active management approach based on monitoring errors and system status.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the Specialist Clinical Systems Support Team designated to the post.
They will work to agreed objectives autonomously, providing professional support, training and guidance to other IM&T professionals across the IM&T Department relating to own clinical systems specialism.
The post holder will work closely with all aspects of the Digital Clinical teams to provide support to other Clinical Systems Managers and Clinical Team members as and when required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder's major job responsibility is to ensure the continuous operation of a number of critical clinical computerised systems. This includes being part of the team works that closely with the Clinical Systems Manager to ensure that the basic specifications are robust and appropriate resilience is in-built during system design as well as by continues monitoring of key performance indicators and review.
The successful candidate will be part of CTMUB Digital Systems team working in a very busy department.
Ensuring that our end users, new and existing digital systems, and the associated hardware, are adequately supported. Main responsibilities are dealing with more technical and complex duties also supporting non systems. You will work closely with a number of teams within Digital and services providing patient care.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
