Job summary

Hotel Services Worker post to cover Glanrhyd Hospital and Community sites undertaking a range of multi tasks such as Cleaning, Catering, Driving/Portering, Linen and Refuse.

Clean Driving licence is essential to cover driving hospital vehicles if required.

Fixed term/secondment for 6 months due to service needs. If you are interested in applying for it as a secondment, please obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Main duties of the job

The Hotel Services Worker post covers all disciplines within the Facilities department, including Cleaning, Catering, Portering, Driving, Laundry, Light haulage and Refuse. Experience in these disciplines would be advantageous, although not essential.

We expect full flexibility in the successful candidate to be able to cover Glanrhyd, and the Community sites within Bridgend locality to meet service needs.

37.5 hours per week, to include weekends. Shift times will vary, depending on area of work.
