Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced secretary to join our small, friendly, secretarial team within the Children's Centre in the Princess of Wales Hospital.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the consultants, associate specialists, and other allied health professionals. We seek a candidate who can work independently, collaborate effectively with others, and take initiative when needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT and typing skills, alongside a passion for delivering high-quality customer care.

Main duties of the job

To contribute to the provision of health care to the people of the residents of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg catchment area by providing confidential and comprehensive secretarial service to the consultant and associated team within the consultant's speciality. Following appropriate systems, procedures, policies and processes, ensuring efficient and accurate typing skills are performed and that timely communication is carried out to allow the patients to experience a smooth journey at all times.

The Post Holder will be required to ensure high standard of secretarial and administration service to enable the effective use of the Consultant and his/her Team's time.

The Post Holder will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to ensure a high quality service to support the work of the Consultant and his/her Team.

Will be required to work independently and as part of a team. Work is managed rather than supervised.

The post holder will need to work independently using their own initiative when dealing with enquiries or problem solving.
