Job summary
As Assistant Committee Secretary, you will work with the Committee Secretary/Deputy Director of Governance and the Director of Corporate Planning & Strategy in the effective management of Joint Committee, Joint Sub-Committees and associated responsibilities.
The successful individual will be critical to promoting organisational governance, assurance and be an ambassador in demonstrating our Values and Behaviours. Supported by, and in the absence of the Committee Secretary, you will provide sound advice to the Chair, Chief Commissioner and individual JCC team members on all aspects of governance, assurance and business.
You will have a key role in:
JCC governance, assurance framework design, development Administration and adherence of Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions Hosted Body (Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board) Arrangements and Scheme of Delegation Relationship management with JCC, Sub Committees and Advisory Groups Design and provide assurance on the conduct of JCC Business Deputise for the Committee Secretary as required Have line manage the Head of Governance & Risk.
Main duties of the job
Lead and manage the corporate governance and risk agenda as well as business matters across the NWJCC.
Provide expert advice and assurance to the Joint Committee, sub-Committees and the Senior Leadership Team.
Develop and implement policies, frameworks, procedures and systems that ensure the NWJCC meets statutory and regulatory requirements.
Promote a strong governance culture, ensuring alignment with Welsh Government requirements and national best practice.
