Job summary
The Microbiology Department is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated administrator to provide high quality support to the Consultant Microbiologists. This role would be ideal for a dedicated and organised individual with experience in managing and prioritising their own workload. We are looking for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, someone who is confident in using Microsoft Office, with advanced keyboard skills with the ability to input and collect accurate information.
Main duties of the job
Liaise in a professional manner with colleagues, visitors and patients and undertake a wide spectrum of administrative duties
Provide support to Pathology staff who are undertaking research or quality improvement initiatives
Plan and organise Consultant and Departmental meetings, typing the agendas, and taking and typing meeting notes
Undertake reception duties acting as first contact for Pathology, answering telephone queries from staff and other outside agencies
