Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join our Housekeeping Services at Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role will support part time hours based across a rota of seven days.
The role will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Main duties of the job

- Work within the Health Board, to undertake duties as designated by the Hotel Services Supervisor.
- Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness
- To observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees;
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
