Job summary
This is a Part time 4 sessions Substantive Specialty Grade post in the Generic CAMHS in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. You will be joining Colleagues in a well-established and innovative Directorate, with supportive colleagues and a culture where development and progression is embedded. The Postholder will be managerially responsible to the Consultant of the team. The Postholder will be required to liaise with Clinicians and partner agencies including Paediatrics, Education and Children Services as and when necessary. Further the Postholder will be expected work at other UHB Sites if required.

Main duties of the job
Management of patients in the Community as part of the Multidisciplinary Team and occasionally if admitted to the Paediatric Wards within the Directorate.
The Generic post will be based in Tonteg Hospital.
Implementation of the Mental Health Act and associated duties when AC/section 12 approved.
Liaison and collaboration with colleagues within the team, the Directorate and beyond - including other organisations, Local Authorities and the third sector.
Contributing clinically to team meetings.
The assessment and management of cases, providing leadership and specialist advice to colleagues across the team.
Providing guidance and advise on new referrals and sign posting to most appropriate person to undertake initial assessment.
Becoming a Care Coordinator for Part 2 cases when appropriate.

- MB, BS or recognised equivalent. GMC Full Registration / Licence to Practice. Section 12/Approved Clinician Status or willingness to undertake training / approval process Shall have completed at least three years in training working specifically with Young people in Paediatrics or CAMHS and have developed specific competencies in CAMHS
