An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Pharmacy Assistants at Prince Charles Hospital, working within our distribution, logistics and dispensary teams.
You will be required to work as part of the distribution, logistics and dispensary teams.
Checking ward/departments stock and replenishing to the required levels.
Covering the pharmacy goods delivery area, receiving and checking deliveries are correct.
Dispensing prescriptions for inpatient and outpatients and covering the pharmacy reception.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Pharmacy Assistants at Prince Charles Hospital, working within our distribution, logistics and dispensary teams.
The successfull candidate will have evidence of a good standard of general education and have attained a GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent). If not already held, they will be willing to work towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services within an agreed timescale, which will mean doing a proportion of work in your own time in order to achieve this.
You will be required to work as part of the distribution, logistics and dispensary teams.
Checking ward/departments stock and replenishing to the required levels.
Covering the pharmacy goods delivery area, receiving and checking deliveries are correct.
Dispensing prescriptions for inpatient and outpatients and covering the pharmacy reception.
You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and willing to develop with new ways of working.
Attention to detail is important and you must be able to work as part of a team but also able to demonstrate initiative and work in a professional and timely manner.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to the needs of the service.
Computer literacy is required although appropriate training on pharmacy systems will be provided.
