We have an opportunity, for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed pharmacists to support our pharmacy services here at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
In this role you will work closely with, and be supported by, highly skilled and experienced pharmacy teams. This role will allow you to build your clinical knowledge and experience in different specialities.
Pharmacy in CTMUHB has a strong culture of learning and development with a focus on support and wellbeing. We work collaboratively across all sectors of pharmacy as ONE team. All sites have established medicines management services and electronic discharge systems. Digital solutions for prescribing and managing medicines are due to be implemented within the next 6-12 months. Pharmacists led clinics are well established and pharmacy staff are valued members of clinical multidisciplinary teams.
Main duties of the job
This is a fixed term vacacny for 12 months to provide cover for maternity leave.
- The post holder will provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy and ward-based medicines management service to clinical area(s) and advise medical staff and nurses on pharmacy matters.
- There are a wide range of clinical specialties here on site including admissions, elective and emergency surgery, frailty, palliative care, critical care, paediatrics and mental health.
- The post holder must comply with current legislation and UHB policies. The recommendations contained within the Code of Ethics as issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the obligations in the Standards of Good Professional Practice will be upheld at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
