Would you like to join our supportive and dynamic team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on our specialist Gastroenterology ward where we care for patients with a range of complex conditions.
You will play a pivotal role in assisting the ward manager to lead the team to strive for excellence as well as deputising in their absence.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. You will need to be able to provide leadership in the clinical area, ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing care.
The successful candidate will be a team player, be able to manage and organise their area and most importantly, have quality and patient safety at the heart of all they do.
The applicant will have the commitment and desire to support and further develop the ward based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful individual to develop their skills, knowledge and experience in Gastroenterology medicine.
The applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and will need to provide evidence of continuous professional development.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable at Level 3 Speaking/Listening (or 'B1' Level if you've learnt Welsh as an adult). This doesn't mean you have to be fluent or able to write long reports in Welsh; it just means being able to hold simple conversations with patients.
