Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for a 2 year fixed term/ secondment to Band 7 Strategic Planning & Commissioning Manager.
We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our Strategic Planning and Commissioning Team.The post holder will be based flexibly between home and at Ynysmeurig House, Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board Headquarters, Abercynon, as well as travelling throughout the CTM footprint.
The successful applicant will support the Starting Well and Growing Well Strategy Group within the University Health Board. They will be involved in strategic planning, clinical pathway planning and supporting the redesign and implementation of a range of programmes across the area, under the direction of the Head of Strategic Planning and Commissioning. They will ensure services are planned across the UHB in a life course approach.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will need to use their expertise and knowledge to;
- Contribute to the strategic planning and commissioning for the Starting Well and Growing Well Strategy Groups across a range of service areas.
- Lead delegated projects and planning a range of innovative sustainable service redesign initiatives, which will involve project management, planning, facilitation, consultation, monitoring and evaluation of services.
- Encourage innovation in practice to ensure patients receive the most appropriate care in the most appropriate place by the most appropriate person.
- Ensure that service change and development is managed effectively with key partners and stakeholders.
- This is a key role in the Strategic Planning and Commissioning Team as we continue to support the Health Board in the delivery of its strategic objectives.
