Clerical Officer - Band 3 - 32hrs per week
We are looking for a team-player with excellent communications skills, to work within the Physiotherapy new appointments hub. Along with colleagues, the post holder will primarily be responding to calls to the centre, booking/rearranging new appointments across all sites, and will have the skills to support the Team Lead in other aspects of the service, such as partial booking, care navigation and signposting patient to the most appropriate services.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of secretarial and clerical skills, with experience in a busy office or call-centre environment. excellent telephone manner, including the use of email, word, excel, typing, and will be able to adapt to changing and evolving service needs, supporting the Team lead in delivering a high quality, responsive service.
You will need to be patient, polite and helpful with patients and staff, adaptable and responsive to the changing needs within the service. An organised and flexible approach to workload is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within a multi-professional team and will be required to provide a range of secretarial and clerical services to support the smooth running of day-to-day operational tasks within the Physiotherapy Service.
The post holder will communicate politely and sensitively with patients, colleagues, key stakeholders and other members of staff. An organised, flexible approach to the workload is essential, and an understanding of relevant clinical systems and word processing skills are required.
The post holder will work to defined policies and procedures, and may be expected to undertake additional responsibilities to encompass changes within the NHS or in line with evolving services and business needs, which will remain commensurate with the banding of the role.
