Catering Assistant

Job summary

A job opportunity has arisen for two successful candidates to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team on Sites at Ysbyty George Thomas Hospital.

The post holder will work either as part of the ward based catering team or as part of the Main Kitchen catering team, and will be responsible for food preparation or regeneration, meal service and cleaning of all catering areas.

They will assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset.

The main duties of the post include catering duties of all areas of the Hospital in accordance with catering led specifications.

Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.

The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.

The successful candidate must observe and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

This post is monthly paid.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
