Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our centralised breast care team with the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, to support Secondary Breast Cancer patients. The successful applicant requires a highly developed breast care specialist knowledge acquired through a combination of in depth study, breast care experience and post registration study at Masters level.

To provide highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in Secondary Breast Cancer Nursing. Developing effective clinical links across CTM to ensure breast care national and local standards guidelines and procedures are maintained and integrated into the care of patients with breast cancer.

Main duties of the job

Provide highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in Breast Care Nursing to the multidisciplinary team

Provide advice and support to patients and their families

Organisation and clinical provision of the Breast Care services across the UHB

Manage own caseload autonomously without direct supervision making decisions on care based on own interpretations, analysis and options available

Provide specialist training and education of the multidisciplinary team

Develop and implement policies, procedures and protocols

Plan, manage and facilitate nurse led clinics
