Job summary
The Radiology Service is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Personal Secretary who will support the running of the department.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience working to support Consultants and other professionals within the Radiology Department across our three main hospital sites.
You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team, handling many demands at a high pace.
The successful candiate will be required to show flexibility with their working tasks.
We will be happy to accept applications for full-time, part-time or flexible working.

Main duties of the job
To provide efficient and effective secretarial support to Consultant Radiologists and to the department of Radiology.
To work as part of a team and to work for named consultants, providing first point of contact for letters, reports, telephone calls and e-mails.
This post is structured around 4 core functions to include:
- Typing of Consultants correspondence, documentation, reports.
- Management of Consultant diaries. Oversee timely appointments for patients by way of liaising with clerical and clinical staff.
- Work alongside other health professionals and provide an efficient service to all users.
- Providing RadIS/PACS administration support.
