Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join part of our busy team of Housekeeping Services and based at Gwaun Ely Buildings, near Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The position is for 15 hours contract and the service is managed Monday to Friday.
The position will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering housekeeping and linen room services to the National Standards for Cleanliness in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and organisational standards.
Main duties of the job
The Principal Duties of the job are as follows:
- Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness.
- Carrying out housekeeping, cleaning and service associated semi skilled duties, e.g. curtain changes, removal and cleaning of fixtures and fittings, linen.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Patient/Customer service.
- Communication.
- Lone and Team working ability.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
