Main duties of the job
The post holder is an essential member of the leadership team for Primary Care and Communities Care Group alongside the Service Director and Nursing Director. Together they oversee the management of a diverse range of services, influencing and driving forward modernisation of Primary Care and Community services across Cwm Taf Morgannwg.
Responsible for the provision of strategic leadership across CTM to ensure safe, high quality and efficient patient care.
The approach that the Care Group Medical Director will need to work with and implement is one specialty across the population the Care Group covers, Mental Health or across the three acute sites. Supporting specialties to work more closely together across sites and communities, including promoting cross-site working. Ensuring that in each specialty there is equity of conditions and resources across the Health Board to meet clinical need.
