Job summary
The Planned Care Service Group are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Support Medical Secretary to support the Dermatology Service.
The post holder will be required to work on their own initiative within a team and demonstrate excellent typing , flexibility, communication and organisational skills. The post holder must be IT literate and it would be an advantage if the post holder were familiar with NHS information systems such as WPAS (Myrddin).
Main duties of the job
- Plan own day to day tasks and duties.
- Undertake routine typing and audio typing of clinical correspondence.
- Provide secretarial support to a multidisciplinary team.
- Support with waiting lists within RTT targets.
- Manage/update spreadsheets ensuring accurate recording of patient data.
- Prioritise results and organise clinical activity.
- Liaise with patients, General Practitioners and other Health Boards/Trusts to arrange ongoing treatment and care.
