Job summary

This post offers an opportunity to an individual to work within an administrative environment within the Medical Records Department in Prince Charles Hospital.

The post will be based in the First Appointments section and will involve the retrieval of referrals for patients on the Ophthalmology Waiting List and the scanning of these referrals to the central regional office. The post holder will play a key part in delivering our transformation plans for ophthalmology in the South East Wales Region.

Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.

This is a new role and will be open to a significant amount of change depending on the priorities within the service which may include cross site cover within the Regional South East area.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be joining a well established team providing a full clerical service in the First Appointments Office.Dealing with digitised records.

Retrieval of referrals and scanning of them to the Regional Office.The successful candidate must possess good communication and keyboard skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
