Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated individual to manage implementation of the Health and Well-being Promoting Educational Settings programme in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board area. This programme will include the existing Welsh Network of Health and Well-being Promoting Schools and Healthy and Sustainable Pre Schools Schemes as well as the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being statutory framework.

The programme aims to support educational settings to enable better health and well-being for staff, learners and their families through a settings-based approach that seeks to influence the environment, policy and practice within the setting. In CTMUHB, this includes approximately 205 schools and 100 pre-schools.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for:

Developing plans and managing the programme team's activity to achieve local and national priorities. This includes effectively managing programme budgets and grant returns.

Managing the development / delivery of policy, training, information and resources that enable educational settings to embed health & well-being.

Developing effective partnerships across sectors and providing leadership to encourage a joined up approach to health and education initiatives across the CTMUHB area.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
