Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Public Health Team are seeking to appoint a Band 3 Administration and Resource Officer. The successful candidate will provide an efficient admin support service primarily to the Health Protection Team as well as having the opportunity to support other areas of work across the team.

We have bases at both Keir Hardie University Health Park, Merthyr Tydfil and Glanrhyd Hospital, Bridgend. The contracted base will be negotiated on appointment.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include arranging and servicing meetings, taking minutes, making room bookings and undertaking general admin duties. The successful candidate will undergo training of systems such as Oracle to raise requisitions for the team.

A good knowledge of administrative procedures and communication skills are essential for this role. The ability to communicate and liaise with staff and members of partner organisations is paramount. You will need to be well organised and practical with the ability to work to deadlines. You should possess excellent keyboard/computer skills. The role requires you to be flexible and adaptable and be able to prioritise work effectively.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
