Senior Unified Comms Manager - Wireless Networking

Job summary

The CTM Voice and Data Team is looking to appoint a Senior Communications Manager to lead on Wireless Networking.

Working as a team, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the Health Board's other Data based services strategy - and will be required to lead on a technical elements of delivery in this area.

Responsibilities of this post will include working within the Voice and Data team with a particular emphasis on Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi).

The post holder will also work closely with the Architecture function to develop strategies in line with departmental and Organisational plans.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, preferably in a computer science related subjects, or have appropriate / equivalent experience.

Previous experience with Cisco technologies (Firewalls, Core and Edge, Wireless and Network Access Control is essential to the role.

Also experience in setting up and maintaining a diverse network and voice estate is required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of Healthcare for people within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg area, by ensuring that the Health Board's Wireless and Data Network services are operational, resilient and are designed and configured to provide optimum service.

The post holder will work within broad professional policies and be the Health Board's technical authority for a number of key technical systems.

He/She will deputise for the Head of Voice and Data during periods of absence.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
