Job summary

The post holder will support the Clinical Systems Manager in the implementation, documentation, maintenance, management and promotion of a range of clinical systems, ensuring a pro-active management approach based on monitoring errors and system status.The post holder will be responsible for managing the Specialist Clinical Systems Support Team designated to the post.They will work to agreed objectives autonomously, providing professional support, training and guidance to other IM&T professionals across the IM&T Department relating to own clinical systems specialism.The post holder will work closely with the Server Management , End User Computer and Network Teams in relation to clinical systems, and provide support to other Clinical Systems Managers and Clinical Team members as and when required.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Digital team that manage, support and implement various Digital applications through a variety of services provided by the health board.

The post requires a high degree of technical skills to be able to roll out and support both the hardware and software required to enable clinicians to deliver

but also people skills to interact with the clinical staff to understand their needs and bring them on board with using the application.

The post holder will:

  • Support the clinical system manager.
  • Be heavily involved with clinical services and multiple work streams at any given time.
  • Perform Business Analysis and promote best practices to help realise system benefits.
  • Assist with the implementation of Digital products in keeping with the needs of the service.
  • Develop\manage project plans.
  • Lead on communications and training of system users.
  • Attend both local and national meetings, representing Cwm Taf Morgannwg.
  • Assess current business processes, suggest and implement change to those processes, identify gaps and put forward solutions.

The successful applicant will be part of a team that support all hospitals within Cwm Taf Morgannwg.

You will be expected to participate in a on-call rota.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

About us

The successful candidate will be part of CTMUB Digital Systems team working in a very busy department. Ensuring that our end users, new and existing digital systems, and the associated hardware, are adequately supported. Main responsibilities are dealing with more technical and complex duties also supporting non systems. You will work closely with a number of teams within Digital and services providing patient care.
