Job summary

Do you have knowledge and experience of Picture Archiving and Communication systems in the health care setting? We have a fixed term opportunity for a Radiology IMT Systems Specialist.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about delivering a high quality service and an excellent team player, with a relevant degree and/ or work-based experience in a related field.

Main duties of the job

The Systems Specialist will provide essential support to the PACS Managers in overseeing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) operations within Cwm Taf.

They will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of medical images and data, contributing to the effective delivery of imaging services in alignment with NHS guidelines and policies. In Addition, attend local and national meetings, and support the Welsh Radiology Information Systems Programme (WRISP).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Computer literate with knowledge of databases, networks, archive storage operations and associated software
  • Working Knowledge of PACS/Medical IT system
  • PACS Training

  • Relevant Post Graduate qualification Management training
