Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health board are seeking an Assistant Director of Leadership and Culture to support leadership development and cultivate a values-based culture throughout the organisation.

This position involves leading the Organisational Development, Inclusion and Learning and Development teams to implement strong development plans for leaders and translate organisational values into meaningful leadership attributes. Additionally, it includes collaborating with the executive team to ensure alignment with broader organisational goals, driving success through effective leadership and organisational development strategies.

Main duties of the job

What are some of the key priorities for this role?

Reporting directly to the Deputy Director for People, you will collaborate with the Health Board's senior leadership team and executive board to execute the Health Board people agenda. You will oversee both Organisational Development and Learning and Development functions, advising the Board on related matters.

This post has a focus on enhancing staff engagement and fostering excellent leadership throughout the health board. You will engage with key stakeholders, and work with them to embody a fit-for-purpose culture aligned with the health boards organisational values and expectations. Additionally, you will:

  • Drive the delivery of strategic ambitions outlined in the People Plan
  • Innovate to improve performance and staff engagement
  • Influence People policies and strategies for continual improvement.

Your leadership will steer the development of progressive, evidence-based strategic plans, fostering cultural transformation and staff wellbeing in alignment with the Health Board's objectives.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Our Assistant Director of Leadership and Culture will:
