Job summary
Band 4 Perinatal Nursery Nurse looking to recruit :1 x 37.5hours per week and 1 x 28 hours per week
The post holder will work to support the role of the perinatal mental health practitioners and specialist perinatal mental health midwife in providing a service to women experiencing moderate to severe perinatal mental health issues and their families. Successful post holder will also be expected to participate in the delivery of interventions. Based within various community settings. He/she will also support women being admitted or discharged from specialist mother and baby units, under direction from the perinatal practitioners. He/she will take a key role in delivering parent support; health promotion and expected to work towards meeting the national competency framework requirements. The post holder will be a team player and contribute to the overall health care offered to individuals, families and communities.
Main duties of the job
In consultation with the perinatal mental health practitioners, plan, deliver and evaluate health promotion activities within home, clinic and other community, based settings as agreed. Following initial assessment by perinatal practitioner, carry out delegated programmes of care or follow up health issues at home or in clinic. Undertake screening and/or other health related and developmental assessments as and when directed by the specialist practitioner/health visitor.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
