Job summary
We are pleased to invite applications to join the Consultant Radiologist Team at National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW). The successful applicant will be employed for a single session for training at the Imaging Academy. The contract and salary will be via Service Level Agreement. This exciting facility has been successful in enabling increased training capacity in Wales. It is based in the Academy Building at Pencoed, near Bridgend. Its facilities include a 100-seat lecture theatre, two workstation classrooms, an ultrasound suite, ultrasound simulation and dedicated audio-visual equipment for training delivery.
NIAW are looking for a trainer with a keen interest in Women's Imaging: Gynaecology to continue to deliver high quality Radiology training at the Academy site to enhance the existing teaching and training at the Welsh Hospital sites. Main duties of the job
A Consultant Radiologist trainer at NIAW is expected to provide Radiology training for Radiology trainees during their session commitment. The majority of these training sessions will be for the core training of Specialist Training years 1-3 (ST1, 2 &3). The content will be developed as a team with other Consultant Trainers, the Academy Management, and the Training Programme Directors.
