Job summary
The CTM Server Team is looking to appoint a Senior Server Manager.
Working as a team, the successful candidate will also be co-responsible for the Health Board's other server based services - and will be required to lead on a technical specialism.
As part of a busy team, responsibilities of this post will include working within the Server Management team with a particular emphasis on Servers and Storage, networking and End User devices.
Applicants should be educated to degree level, preferably in a computer science related subjects, or have appropriate / equivalent experience. Previous experience with Microsoft server technologies and leading application vendors essential, as well as practical experience in setting up and maintaining a diverse server estate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of Healthcare for people within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg area, by ensuring that the Health Board's Server and Cloud based services are operational, resilient and are configured to provide optimum service.
The post holder will work within broad professional policies and be the Health Board's lead for a number of key technical systems.
He/She will deputise for the Head of Server Management during periods of absence.
This post is fixed term for 12 months due to - meet the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
