An exciting opportunity exists to join Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as an Associate Practitioner in Audiology.
The post will be based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant but will involve working across the Health Board within supportive Audiology departments.
The post-holder will contribute to a range of clinical activities, primarily around caring for adult patients across all sites at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Main duties of the job
The Associate Practitioner in Audiology will provide interventions with routine / non complex hearing pathologies / disabilities. This will involve assisting with developing the individual care / management plan with appropriate accountability to the Audiologist. The Associate Audiologist is not an independent practitioner and it is anticipated that some clinical supervision and mentoring will be planned during the normal schedule of the working day. The Associate Practitioner will have obtained appropriate education, training and skills in hearing testing, fitting of hearing aids and working to locally and nationally agreed protocols in conjunction with scope of practice and accountability.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
