Job summary

Main duties of the job

We have two great opportunities to join our new People Services team, one permanent and one fixed term until 14th March 2024. There is the potential for part-time working in either role.

These opportunities will enable you to use and develop your HR skills across the full range of people practices, using coaching skills to empower our managers create a positive employee experience.

To be successful in securing either of these posts, you will need to be curious, drive excellence and have a people focus in all that you do. You will support change programmes and projects across the Health Board and Directorate portfolio including workforce planning, culture change, efficiency and productivity, using data to monitor and track performance. You will promote a just and learning culture, looking for opportunities to learn and continuously improve.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for these posts; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and experience gained by working in the profession
  • Associate Member CIPD

Desirable

  • Level 5 CIPD

Knowledge

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge of key HR areas of activity, acquired through specialist courses and/ or significant formal training in a relevant field

Experience

  • Working in a HR role which required knowledge and application of specialist HR topic areas e.g. Change Management, TUPE etc.
  • Experience of supporting a range of HR topic areas such as multifaceted sickness absence cases, recruitment and selection campaigns, redundancy and redeployment cases etc.
