Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled, innovative and experienced High Intensity Specialist Psychological Therapy Practitioner, to deliver high intensity, specialist evidence-based psychological therapy interventions to service users within our Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT's).
You will be joining vibrant and experienced MDTs including mental health nurses, support workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists. Psychological therapy is valued greatly across the teams and across the wider CTMUHB mental health care pathway and the post holder will work closely with, and under the supervision of the established team of psychologists.
Within CTM UHB, we have a range of supervision opportunities, including access to specialist supervision in CAT, EMDR , Schema Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Systemic practice as well as supervision in integrative and creative therapy approaches. In addition, other models brought to the work include CFT, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and ACT. We have a full DBT service, offering weekly consultation groups, and strong links with the Traumatic Stress Wales Regional Lead.

Main duties of the job
Matrics Cymru specifies that Psychological Therapists should be:
- Trained to recognized standards, with the competences necessary to deliver psychological interventions effectively within the service context in which they work
- Delivering a therapy which has a strong evidence base with respect to the service user's presenting difficulties
- Operating within a well-governed system, which offers regular high quality, model-specific psychological therapies supervision, support and relevant CPD
- Monitoring the quality of the therapeutic relationship, recognizing that this is one of the most important factors in achieving a successful therapy outcome
- Contributing to innovative and reflective practice
