Job summary
The successful candidate will join the CAMHS Team, and participate in a team structure that has responsibility for providing early, identification and brief intervention to promote positive emotional wellbeing and resilience.
The role will primarily support the Clinical Nurse Specialist for school liaison to engage school aged children in the provision of education, to promote the emotional wellbeing and resilience through the delivery of agreed programmes of group and individual interventions that have been identified.
The role will provide advice, support and training to education staff.
The role will ensure the child/young person's needs are addressed in a timely manner and by the right professional
Main duties of the job
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to work as part of the Swansea Bay Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, providing emotional and mental wellbeing to children and young people aged 4 - 18, within the educational setting.
Individuals would also be required to provide advice and support to school staff.
This is an exciting and proactive service within CAMHS and requires the post holder to be able to work under their own direction. Ability to interpret and advise children, young people, their families and schools on emotional and mental health needs. The post holder will be managed and supported by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health team to develop and progress the role and to cultivate a stepped care approach.
