Job summary
The post holder will be accountable for own professional actions and be guided by clearly defined occupational policies and national legislation. The recommendations contained within the Code of Ethics as issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the obligations in the Standards of Good Professional Practice will be upheld at all times.
The post holder will provide a safe and effective Clinical Pharmacy and Ward-based medicines management service to clinical area(s) and provide advice to Medical Staff and Nurses on Pharmacy matters.

The Medicines Management directorate at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed pharmacist to join our pharmacy team based at the Prince Charles Hospital.
In this stimulating role you will join a fantastic team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff to build on your previous experience. You will have the opportunity to develop greater autonomy and responsibility whilst providing Medicines Management services to specialty areas such as Acute Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery. You will also provide sessional support to the dispensary. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team.
The directorate is forward thinking and innovative, having an integrated approach to Primary and Secondary Care management of medicines. The hospital site has automated pharmacy systems, comprehensive medicines management services and a fully implemented electronic discharge system. Pharmacist led clinics are well established and pharmacists are valued members of the clinical multidisciplinary teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
