Job summary
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board are expanding their Consultant Radiologist complement. CTM UHB has a keen and enthusiastic team including 31 Consultant Radiologists, 8 Reporting Radiographers (reporting musculoskeletal and chest x-rays, and CT colon and CT head examinations) and 2 Consultant Breast Radiographers. There are opportunities for several subspecialties to be accommodated.
Radiologists with a strong musculoskeletal subspecialist interest will join the Consultant Radiologist team providing care across all 3 hospital sites. The post is a two-site role, working alongside the existing team providing Fluoroscopy, CT and Ultrasound guided musculoskeletal intervention services as well diagnostic musculoskeletal and general radiology reporting and other responsibilities.
An interest in neuro and head and neck imaging would involve working with the 3 site MDT, joining 4 current radiologists, plus input with head and neck ultrasound from a fifth.
Similarly, a candidate with an interest in paediatric imaging would join the 2 current paediatric trained radiologists, as well as further support from the musculoskeletal team around imaging of non accidental injury.

Main duties of the job
Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB provides comprehensive Radiology services to the local population. The successful candidate will be expected to provide all aspects of Core Radiology with subspecialist interest. Regular attendance and contribution to the Multidisciplinary meetings is expected. The successful applicant is expected to take an active role in education within the Health Board.

Essential
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- CRB clearance
- MBBCh/ MBBS/ relevant medical or dental degree
- FRCR or equivalent
- Have completed a minimum of 12 years' medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of 6 years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years' experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted.
- At least one year specialist training at post FRCR level with experience in relevant specialty interest
- Eligibility to work and live in the UK
