Job summary

This is an Administration Assistant post with specific financial duties for the Mental Health Unit RGH. The post involves processing of pay cards on a monthly basis, ordering and receipting of goods.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

  • Will need to receive and transmit routine information requiring tact, persuasive and empathetic skills when dealing with distressed clients and carers in person or by phone and be aware of the reporting system should an incident occur and be able to transmit more complex information to the Directorate Management Team.
  • Communicating with various departments within the organisation including Payroll, Procurement and Finance Department to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments within the Directorate.
  • Attendance at Team Meetings as required.
  • To respect confidentiality in relation to patient access requests, financial accounts and staff pay cards.
