Job summary

Due to an exciting opportunity for a fixed term project funding from Health Education in Wales, we are pleased to offer this temporary Speech & Language Therapy Technical Instructor position to facilitate the development of our Voice and Communication Service for the Transgender (TG) and Gender Diverse Population of CTM University Health Board.

This post is fixed term for 17 months due to - meet the needs of the service

Main duties of the job

You will support our highly specialist SLTs to:

Improve access to a highly specialist, person-centred SLT service

Develop and implement clinical pathways for service users, ensuring links both locally and nationally embedded within Primary Care Services.

Help to reduce waiting times

Build clinical resources to better support dynamic therapy provision.

Help us to establish stronger links within Primary care (GP & mental health services) as well as Welsh Gender Service and 3rd sector organisations.

You may help to set up clinics, run groups and assist in the day to day organisation of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Basic knowledge of adult swallowing difficulties
