Job summary

Are you passionate about and committed to the delivery of patient care to a high standard, whilst working within a caring and friendly organisation that is determined to improve the care it provides?

If you have already undertaken the HCSW Induction Programme and hold All Wales Manual Handling Passport (valid in the last 3 years), we would love to hear from you and invite you to become part of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB's Staff Bank as a Healthcare Support Worker.

Things we would like to know about you:

We are planning to hold interviews in the week commencing 11th September - if you are invited to interview, you must bring the following with you:

  • Healthcare Support Worker Induction Programme certificate of completion
  • All Wales Manual Handling passport, valid in the last 3 years

Main duties of the job

  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Participate in discussions about patient care and ward/department development
  • Manoeuvre trolleys, wheelchairs, and other equipment safely
  • Undertake routine observations
  • Assist in the care of patients with reduced mobility
  • Collect and record data accurately
  • Ensure safe custody and return of patients' property
  • To always work in accordance with organisational policies
