Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 2 HCSW to join our team at Angelton Clinic, Glanrhyd Hospital. We are an older persons in-patient assessment unit providing person centred care for people experiencing mental health disorders.
The successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with the qualified nurse to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained across the unit, and be expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in this field of nursing, displaying excellent people skills such as communication. They will be expected to work as part of a team, ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred patient care.
Main duties of the job
Staff working within this environment will work with individuals who experience diverse mental illnesses. Staff will provide support and assistance with activities of daily living relevant to the individuals needs. Staff will need to support individuals on enhanced levels of support and be able to de-escalate and identify risk triggers to prioritise safety.
