Apprentice Physiotherapy Healthcare Support Worker

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Apprentice Physiotherapy Health Care Support Worker.

You will be required to undertake an 18 month training programme(Health and Social Care Level 3) upon commencement of this apprenticeship. Completion of the qualification is a requirement of the contract of employment.

During this training period Salary will be paid in accordance with Annex 21 of the Terms and Conditions. Months 1 - 12 of the training period will be paid at 70% of the top of Band 3 pay scale/Real Living Wage (whichever is the greater), and Months 13 - 18 will be paid at 75% of the top of Band 3 pay scale. Upon successful attainment of the qualification, even if sooner than the 18 month allocated timeframe, the post holder will automatically move to the Band 3 as they will meet the full KSF outline of this Band 3 role and be expected to undertake all duties within the Physiotherapy Health Care Support worker job description as indicated.

The successful applicants will support the delivery of rehabilitation programmes to patients within an inpatient setting.

Excellent communication skills are essential alongside the ability to work effectively in a team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, reliable and hardworking individuals who are passionate about patient care, who can work both independently and function well in a team.

In this ward based role you will primarily work under the direct supervision of Physiotherapists; you must be able to work well both individually and as part of a team.
