Roles & responsibilities include co-operation in the management and treatment of surgical and medical patients as indicated and directed by Anaesthetic Consultants, providing first-line treatment of acute emergencies both surgical and medical and first-line treatment of acute problems on the Intensive Care Unit. Anaesthesia for routine surgical cases under the supervision and/or direction of Anaesthetic Consultants. Provide a 1 in 8 full shift rota, to the critical care unit, which includes prospective cover for colleagues on annual and study leave.
