This full time post is a vacant post. There are currently nine specialty doctor posts within the Mental Health Directorate of Cwm Taf Health Board. The post is based at Cynon CMHTs, but the post holder will be expected to work at various sites within the Local Health Board area.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to
- Provide senior clinical input to the assessment and management of patients within the CMHT by, but not exclusively, managing outpatient clinics, collaborating in Care and Treatment Planning reviews, and offering advice and support to team members in managing patients.
- Provide clinical input to the Home Treatment Team based at Prince Charles Hospital to review and manage patients. The postholder will be required to cover the relevant sessions of the second Speciality Doctor covering the Home Treatment Team when they are on leave.
