An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated staff nurse to join our friendly, busy team. The successful applicant will be based in the Women's Health Unit in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital but will be expected to work at other sites within Cwm Taf University Health Board as required.
This is an exciting role for the successful applicant. The Post Holder will undertake delegated duties, with supervision and mentorship, and following a period of training and completion of core competencies.
This role will involve cross site working with CTMUHB

Main duties of the job
The post holder will participate in the provision of a high quality and comprehensive Women's, Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health services as part of the multi disciplinary team, within the Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy unit
The post holder will work within the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital as required, and may be requested to work in other areas within service e.g.EPAU/GDAU.
The post holder will be given the opportunity to acquire extra skills necessary to function as an independent practitioner.
The post holder has the freedom to act within established parameters, work is managed rather than supervised. The post holder is required to act independently within UHB and professional guidelines, referring to supervisory management as appropriate. This will include.
Responsibility for the management of resources in the absence of senior members of staff. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all resources within that area are used to an optimum effect.
Participate in responsibility for maintaining the standards of client care set by the department.
Ensuring that practice is in line with, and reflects the requirement of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and is based on evidence-based practice.
Ensuring that any personal and professional development plans reflect the requirements of the NMC and PREP.
