Then our new weight management service is the place for you. Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board are developing a new level 2 and 3 weight management service, and this is an opportunity to be involved from inception.
We are looking for a Professional Service Manager to lead the design, innovation and implementation of the service and team. You will have the support of a multi-disciplinary team to innovate and develop a service in line with the All Wales Weight Management Strategy.
The Health Board is committed to improving the health of its population and you will play an instrumental role in this by working with strategic partners, patients and staff to ensure that the service is the best it can be for our patients.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to support improvement in all aspects of Healthy Weight Healthy Wales strategy promoting improvement in health and weight for the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
The Team will be in a unique position to developand align with the values of theorganisation and support each other to be their best, deliver high quality service and improved staff and service user experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder with have clinical leadership and management responsibility for an integrated Tier 2 and 3 Weight Management Services across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University health board. They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure that a safe and effective weight management service is coordinated and delivered for the population.
This newly established weight management service includes delivery of tier 2 and tier 3 multidisciplinary services for adults in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will support the development of future weight management clinical services including weight management services for children and young people.
As a registered clinical professional, you will provide direct professional supervision, leadership, and line management for all staff within the service. The post holder will be responsible to ensure professional staff within weight management services are safe and governance in their practice and delivery of services, liaising with professional leads for support.
You will be accountable for the performance of weight management services including being responsible for monitoring and reporting of local and national key performance targets.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
