Job summary
The Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) was established on 1st April 2010 and will undertake the joint planning of Specialised and Tertiary Services on behalf of the 7 Local Health Boards.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Welsh Kidney Network (WKN) team, working at a national level to implement positive change for patients.
The Welsh Kidney Network (WKN) has recently been successful in securing funding for 2-year project through Value-based Health and Care bid.
The funding will enable the network to develop and implement an All Wales advanced prehabilitation programme aiming to ensure that patients are at optimal health and wellbeing so that they can choose and commence the treatment that offers them the best outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the role will be to support WKN in developing, implementing the Kidney Prehabilitation programme, and leading on the effective co-ordination, control and monitoring of progress. The role also requires effective co-ordination of project interdependencies and task and finish groups that will be set-up within the programme.
This role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and drive both within the WKN team and the Project Leads across Wales.
This role will require advanced Programme Management expertise, in addition to excellent influence and communication skills to on-board colleagues internally and externally across Wales.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Partnership working and stakeholder management acquired through training and experience over an extended period.
- Demonstrates and understanding of Value in Healthcare Principles
