Job summary
Morlais Mental Health Ward is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Ward Manager to lead our dedicated multidisciplinary team. You will provide visible, values-based leadership, ensuring high-quality inpatient care and a recovery-focused therapeutic environment. The role includes managing daily ward operations such as staffing, patient flow and clinical supervision, while supporting continuous improvement and evidence-based practice. We are seeking a confident, compassionate leader who inspires teams, promotes a positive culture and strengthens clinical capability. Main duties of the job
Provide safe, high-quality leadership and management of Morlais Ward. Oversee assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care. Coordinate and lead the ward team and support staff development. Manage daily operations including patient flow and staffing. Ensure effective communication across MDTs and external agencies. Implement clinical governance and Health Board policies.-Ensure systems for supervision, reflective practice and evidence-based care. Lead service improvement and performance reviews. Manage ward budgets and physical resources.-Support training, learning and staff induction.-Communicate complex information with patients, families and carers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Highly developed Specialist knowledge and expertise acquired through a combination of in depth experience and advanced training skills developed through specialist post registration training
